Cleaning
Dental cleaning, also called dental prophylaxis, is carried out to remove plaque and tartar that accumulates on the teeth over time. This accumulation of plaque and tartar builds up on the teeth. Plaque is a viscous substance with bacteria and food debris that is deposited on the margins of the gums and in the most retentive areas of the teeth.
Once plaque is formed, it cannot be removed by brushing.
Tartar is the solidification of dental plaque.
It is ideal to have your teeth cleaned once a year.
